Questions: Can this summit in Glasgow be the last chance for the world to agree to cut its emissions on time?
This summit will conclude two weeks of negotiations between participating governments to reach a global agreement on limiting global warming at the December summit of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Poland.
Permits for individual country emissions are more than 6 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide since the start of the year. Although the total will be less than the carbon figure agreed to in 2015 Paris agreement, a total reduction of at least 50 percent less from 1990 levels by 2030 is necessary to meet these goals.
Hundreds of delegates and thousands of citizens will gather at a summit in Glasgow on December 2-5 to discuss issues including addressing wildfires, cooling oceans and developing a Global Movement for Women.
Will these issues in Glasgow not accomplish much in Paris to make the Paris climate agreement live up to expectations?
