Browns will be without Christian Kirksey, Kenny Britt for game against Steelers

The Cleveland Browns will be without outside linebacker Christian Kirksey, and outside receiver Kenny Britt will return from a concussion.

Kirksey will not play, per a source, after suffering a concussion in the team’s 24-9 loss at Miami on Sunday. Britt is listed as questionable with a concussion. Head coach Hue Jackson has benched him in favor of rookie Antonio Callaway, who picked up a career-high 19 yards and two catches after being acquired in the offseason.

Safety Jabrill Peppers, who started a franchise-record-tying 14 straight games before getting injured on Sunday, has been ruled out with a hamstring. Cornerback Terrance Mitchell and guard Kevin Zeitler also will miss the game with injuries. Cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun (knee) has been upgraded to probable.

Linebacker Vince Williams will miss his second straight game with a toe injury. Defensive end Stephon Tuitt also will sit out his second straight with a sprained knee.

Pittsburgh center Maurkice Pouncey is expected to return, three weeks after dislocating his right thumb.
